Imagine being able to wear a sword on your back or wear a clock on your wrist (as a watch)—all in Vanilla Minecraft.
I’m not saying to add a new slot or anything. Just hear me out.
Equipping items into the head slot in Minecraft already possible with commands and several items have a unique model on the player (eg. end rod is a unicorn horn and lead is a monocle; if you don’t know, try “/item replace entity @s armor.head with red_banner”, for example). What if this applied to other armor slots as well?
For the chest slot: Weapons could be displayed on the back of the player. Personally, I’d like to see bundles, chests, and decorated pots be displayed like a backpack. Trial keys in a necklace position might look nice too.
For the leg slot: Weapons hanging off the side of the legs sounds cool.
For the boots slot: I can’t think of anything off the top of my head. Maybe iron trapdoors could be those little circle things on the back of cowboy boots?
Also what if there was a saddle model when placed on the player head?
All of this would only be visual and serve no functional purpose. I think it would really be a great addition to storytelling and mapmaking.
