We appreciate you checking out the early preview of Vibrant Visuals and providing feedback. The lighting in the Nether and End have been updated as part of the official Chase the Skies update with Vibrant Visuals.

I agree, I can't navigate in the nether because everything in front of me is pitch black. I can't even see block textures, etc... because it's all so dark. And the blue fog is a bit overpowering.

The blue fog puts me off so bad, it almost destroys the vibe of the red hellish look of the nether that fancy graphics would have. It also removes the need to increase my chunk distance because the blue fog covers it up anyway. The darkness overwhelms the player and seems so unnecessary in my opinion. I feel like the nether should be consistently lit up and minimal bloom should be applied on lava in the nether.

Looking far out the fog makes no sense ots like half blue and half the biome ur in. The blue is the problem it looks weird. Other than that its fine close up/ mid distance.(make sure you adjust your setting sometimes thats the problem)

Similar in the end, the default brightness is gone, making it too dark.

This is a severe issue in the soul sand valley.

Vibrant visual affects should be based on each dimension. It only makes sense when the atmosphere and visibility is different with each dimension.

Jappa (one of the lead artists of the game) has said that at the moment, the Nether in Vibrant Visuals is completely unoptimized and will be completely reworked once they're finished with the overworld.
