Due to the increased availability and use of Lodestones, it would be beneficial to promote the use of multiple Lodestones for different areas, though using the same texture for all of them would result in quicker inspection for which is which.
My idea revolves around the diverse distribution of Compasses, allowing the player to use dyes to differentiate different Lodestone Compasses from others. The idea would be that the player could dye the compass needle, similar to how shulker boxes and bundles are dyed. This will allow a more easier approach to using multiple Lodestones in a world, and further promote the use of the long underrated block.
