framed repeaters and comparators

I've seen someone named "pyro von creep" post this blocks on Phoenixsc SubReddit, and I think they would suit the game really well. Copper needs a use, and a more technical use, copper works well with electricity in real life, so should work with redstone. This blocks would be waterlogable and would make so the repeaters and comparators wouldn't need a support block, perfect for the game and nothing too crazy.

Add a copper reinforcement frame on comparators and repeaters so that they can be waterlogged and will stay floating when the block they were placed on is removed? Honestly I can see this having some great uses. The waterlogging would just be parity since BE already has that but i can see the floating being great on both versions.
