In my personal opinion, the 32x32 pixel resolution for the "Happy Ghast" mob throws off the "Vanila feel" to Minecraft and it feels more like an addon to the game. Even some Java mods try to stay faithful to the vanilla artstyle and also stick with the 16x16 pixel resolution. If this is a new direction for mobs and mob design, please don't continue with it. Or at least make a seperate 32x32 official resource pack for new mobs.
I LOVE that we have more variation with already existing mobs AS new mobs, but if newer mobs based off existing mobs are being added I think the texture should remain consistant with their older counterparts.
