I think the new textures for the creative mode spawn eggs are in the right direction, but some aren't that great.
First, sizes. Its cool that the sizes are proportional to the size of the mob, but on some eggs it doesn't match. The biggest egg size makes sense for mobs like the ghast, the ender dragon, the wither, the ravager and even the horses, but some of the eggs this size don't make sense; The blaze and breeze aren't larger than a zombie, yet their eggs are huge. The cow and mooshroom mobs aren't large enough to have their egg texture be this size, in fact, cows are barely larger than sheep, their eggs would make more sense being the size of sheep and pigs and right now they look larger than the ravager spawn egg. Then there's the fox egg which is too small, it's the same size as the bee and rabbit eggs and the mob isn't that small. The fox is closer to a wolf in size and its egg should be too.
Next I want to comment on some of the textures themselves. The stylistic choice to have no eyes on the eggs is cool in theory, but it only works on a few mobs like the piglins, the allay, the sniffer and maybe the cat. Most other eggs are tough to recognize because of the lack of eyes. Spiders and endermen are mobs with iconic eyes and would benefit from having them on their eggs' textures. Skeletons, the ghast and fish are unrecognizable because of the lack of eyes.
Finally the illager noses are way off. they're too wide and unproportionate to the brows.
I'm out of characters, but ye
