Let’s talk about the new Bedrock flat world presets!

We are excited to announce the addition of flat world presets to Bedrock, edging us closer to parity with Java edition. You can now select from some very special presets for your completely flat world:

  • Classic Flat
  • Tunnelers' Dream
  • Water World
  • Overworld
  • Snowy Kingdom
  • Bottomless Pit
  • Desert
  • Redstone Ready


There's still some things to come, like The Void preset, and we want to develop the future of flat worlds together with you, the community! We’d love to hear your thoughts on this, let us know in the comments — what do you think?

    Both Java and the Legacy Console Edition have had this forever, yet when you FINALLY add it to Bedrock it's still too hard to just make it customizable? Come on, man.

    Make a custom flat menu where you can change the thickness of the layers of certain blocks. Eg, Stone | 23. This can allow the play to change how they want their world to be. Also, the ability to change biomes with a button on that menu or a command would be awesome.

    I think you should make then customizable. Like let us choose custom blocks for the layers. Also, there should be an option to make ores, structures, and maybe caves generate, since on java edition ores and structures generate in some flat world presets and it's really fun.

    this update is cool, but i think that it needs to be more customizable, like a setting where you can choose any block and make the flat world with the blocks you choose bye :)

    We should be able to make our own flat worlds and make fractions of the chance of finding something else then the 1st one u put,like how in the real game mining u have to find the ores instead of just going down

    Please let structure generate I every single one off then I am tired off having to download addons on bedrock
