Many people agree that biome based sheep spawning should be done like this:
Temperate: white, light gray
Cold: dark gray, black
Warm: brown
pink still rarely in all
Different colored sheep in different biomes looks great, but the aesthetic is kind of ruined when you have red sheep spawning savannah biomes, and why put blue sheep in taiga biomes when black and dark gray would fit the biome so much better. The pink sheep also feels so much less special when you have all these other colored sheep. New players might see a pink sheep and think “oh that’s one of the rare ‘colored variants’”. Finally having colored sheep naturally spawn makes Minecraft less realistic, I get that MC is a video game and doesn’t have to be realistic but it's a game that imitates real life when it comes to a majority of the things in the overworld and I’m not asking for colored sheep to be removed, just let player dye the sheep themselves.
Some people have said that the warm biomes should have more variety, which could be fixed with a new beige sheep (beige and brown in warm biomes). It would also be cool if sheep worked like dyed leather armor, so you’re not limited to 16 colors. Finally, it would be great if sheep actually had new variants like cows, pigs, and chickens. This could be done with breeds like merino or bighorn sheep, or by reusing the variants from McEarth.
