The latest snapshots introduce the "biome variants" of sheep in the form of tweaking the spawnrates of certain colors in warm and cold biomes, as well as including some unnatural colored sheep into the mix. I am all for theidea of making black/brown/gray sheep more common by having them spawn more in select biomes, but red, orange, blue, etc. sheep in the wild looks wildly out of place in the natural environments, and it can be kind of immersion breaking to suddenly see such sharp colored animals out and about. The pink sheep can stay though, it has always been kind of a 'shiny' encounter anyways.
However, villages already use dyed beds, and some even use dyed banners, meaning they must have access to dyed wool. It would be a great place to keep dyed sheep, where the villagers can freely use their wool to craft their colorful goods. You could even add some dyes to the shepherd hut's loot, so as to introduce new players to the idea of dying the sheep, rather than the wool.
