I have to agree the recent changes for the grass blocks needs to be changed back.

The game now SOUNDS INCONSISTENT with this change.  Such a change should be a PLAYER OPTION with regards to sound changes, just like game controls for
mouse, keyboard, video, etc.  Everyone playing the game will have a different "Taste" for the game sounds and making a global change like this adds more inconsistency
to the game, as well as removes that fun original flavor of the game.   You were aware of this in the past, as you would have "Programmers Art" for those who did not like
the graphics changes, and they could re-load the original textures of the game they were used to. If you decide NOT to revert this sound change, at least have an option for
us older players who actually LIKE that loud grass break sound to load your "Programmers Sound" option into the game so we can hear the sounds like we have in v1.21.4.   I may have to version lock myself to v1.21.4, until a mod pack or sound tweak of some kind is available via the mod community, if this simple sound roll-back or
player option to roll it back is not addressed.  I have been playing this game for well over 10 years, and know how it should "feel" like, and I don't normally need to bark on your changes, as up to this time, they have been relatively mild and have improved the game.
But I consider global sound changes an option by the player when it comes to

"turning down the volume".   Please address this.

I thought it was a bug at first, but the leaves and grass blocks are way too quiet.

I don't know why they had to change it since there's already a slider to turn down block noises. I can't turn the slider above 100%, and even if I could the new sound is balanced so poorly with the old sounds everything else would be too loud. I suppose some people had the opposite opinion, that grass was too loud, and turning it down would make everything else too quiet. But breaking a grass block then a dirt block really shows the difference in volume. At least make it an option of some kind or balance it better.

It really takes away from that Minecraft nostalgia & ambiance for me. I also never comment on changes made to the game, but this really does seem like a complete overcorrection at best.

When I updated to 1.12.5, I was convinced that the lower volume for breaking plants was a bug. The difference in volume between the other sounds for breaking blocks and the one for breaking plants is grating to my ears. The volume of the plants breaking is too low, and there is no way to increase it without modifying the game.

The Minecraft Community found a work-around for this Sound issue that cropped up in v1.21.5.  If you search for a Mod-Pack for this issue, many have made Minecraft Mod packs with the 4 original sounds which were in v1.21.4 and before, to get the grass break sounds back to the way you remember them.

My son helped me load the mod pack with the 4 original sounds, so now the game sounds like it did when it was v1.21.4.  The mod packs are apparently an option for those who wish to tweak the game.

Many times this is to maintain the original spirit and flavor of the game.  Many have
had an issue with this grass break sound issue, and some have made mod packs for
this with the original 4 sounds.   Apparently, I was not the only one annoyed with this.

The mod pack keeps your "custom" settings, so if the game updates, you will retain
your original grass block break sounds which you are used to.

There is a menu in the game to load the mod pack, once you have it.

Been playing a lot of modded 1.20.1 for a while so I've only just noticed this now that I decided to start a "forever world" in the most recent version. I hate it! Need to find a mod or resource pack or something to fix this manually before I go insane!
