Quite often we see players hunting down the wandering traders they encounter for the sake of getting the leashes they carry, so in order to disincentivize players from that behavior, making the players receive the bad luck effect upon killing the trader would be helpful, as well as making the player obtain the luck effect in case they trade with the villager without killing it afterwards.
Furthermore, making the chance of the next wandering trader spawn be affected depending on the interaction with the last one could also prove useful in order to make the player interact in the intended way.
