Electricity update

Copper wire-redstone alternative, 1 ingot for 4 wire or so. Generator-made with stone and copper. Put on top of or next to flame or lava, or next to running water to use. Gets a certain amount of energy, can power, like, 10 things. Connect copper wire to generator to use(can put on walls and cielings, unlike redstone). Things powered by electricity: Battery, (zinc (see ores and alloys update suggestion I made) and copper?) charged by generator or lightning rod. Lights-glass and copper, and dyes for different colors. 2 Lightning rods connected to generator via copper wires (or directly), 1 -2 blocks apart creates an arc, a defensive measure that harms as mobs or you pass through it. *Other electric items(any ideas?) You can also connect the copper wires to switches and buttons, light sensors, etc. to turn on and off.
