Better Lood Drops From A Chicken

As ya’ll know, chickens aren’t te most useful mobs in Minecraft, i mean cows drop leather for books and more, Sheep drop wool and you can ride pigs, but what does the chicken give you besides feathers that is actually useful? My idea is: Cooking with eggs, if a chicken lays an egg you can cook it in a furnace and it will give you a baked egg, that would be a lot more useful then feathers in my opinion
