The new falling leaf particles make forest biomes feel more lively, but the frequency feels a little high. I feel the an occasional falling leaf makes sense for biomes with green summer/spring foliage, but currently they fall all the time, making it feel like autumn.
Whilst an autumnal forest biome would be a good addition, I don't think all forests should feel this way.
Instead, I think the frequency of falling leaves should be reduced in most biomes (with some exceptions, such as pale garden, cherry grove, and dark oak forest). However, during rain and especially thunder weather the amount of falling leaves could increase to simulate 'wind'. The particle could also be 'blown' more horizontally as well.
