As it is right now all leaf blocks but the cherry one use the same texture just in different colours, however for some this doesn't work too well. Most notably the spruce leaf block doesn't even have leafs but also the jungle and mangrove leaves bigger and more distinct than the other ones (and birch leaves smaller although they work well despite that). And on top of that mangrove forests and jungles as I see are meant to have a fairly different atmosphere to the more temperate forests which I feel like is missed with the constant flow of leaves.
So in order to "fix" it I'd propose something like this:
- Give them unique textures.
This work well for the jungle and mangrove leaves, but just making them slightly different would still have them blend in quite a bit with normal forests. Preferably they should be larger but at that point it could get annoying with how common they may be, and as such I feel like this should really only be paired with leaves falling less often, which also goes well with the thicker texture of the blocks.
However as for the spruce this doesn't feel as good as needles are significantly smaller and most of the time fall quickly in bigger clumps, and the next option would be better:
- Remove them.
This is the easier option but I do feel like the atmosphere would benefit from it in these cases. For the jungle and mangrove leaves the previous option would be better, but for spruce this seems to be the best option.
