The addition of leaf litter and wildflowers in the Forest, Dark Forest, Birch Forest, and Old Growth Birch Forest biomes has caused the occurrences of flowers and grass features to be heavily reduced. This causes the following gameplay problems to players:
- Lily of the Valley, which was previously common in the birch forest, barely spawns outside of the rather rare flower forest biome now.
- Starting a wheat farm in all four affected biomes is now much more tedious for players who choose to reside there. (WAY less grass to break for seeds)
- Dyes are harder to obtain without bonemeal in the affected biomes.
- Dark forests were previously a one stop shop for extremely good, high powered food thanks to the dandelion's saturation effect in suspicious stews (lots of wood, dandelions, and mushrooms to be found), but now the dandelion is extremely hard to locate in these biomes and that convenience factor is lost.
I propose that flower and grass generation be given a higher priority than leaf litter and wildflowers, to preserve the above gameplay techniques. There is still plenty of open room on the floor of these biomes for the new decor to spawn, without heavily disrupting the existing features players are used to in these biomes.
