A giant rideable land snail that leaves a path of slime

I would love to see a giant rideable land snail. It should be enormous, 5-10 blocks tall. They are a very rare spawn but once you find the trail of one, you can follow the trail and hunt it down, as they move slowly leave a path of slime covered blocks similar to the snow golem. These slime covered blocks can be mined for slime balls, providing an alternative to finding slime chunks and farming slimes, and a way to get slime blocks for pacifist players. The giant snail can be ridden but not directed, you just sit on top and watch the world slowly go by. Perhaps they could drop a potion of slowness on death? They will occasionally lay eggs on leaf blocks which will not hatch unless the leaf block is waterlogged - this should make them easily hatchable without a natural population explosion
