Special crying obsidian nether portals

I think that since crying obsidian has only one use at the moment, it would be cool if you could make a nether portal entirely out of crying obsidian that would have some bonuses. Maybe crying obsidian portals could give you regeneration when you walk through them, or maybe they could somehow show the way to a nether fortress. This would be good since you usually end up with a large amount of crying obsidian from bartering with piglins when you're trying to get ender pearls to beat the game.

    Good idea. I'd also like it as a potion ingredient, and maybe add a feature like dripstone where it can fill up a cauldron. So many items could benefit from additional uses. The single-use items are beginning to accumulate

    Some other suggestions:

    • It lets you see into the Nether from the Overworld side, and vice versa.
    • It only lets its creator through (useful for PvP and stopping mobs from coming through to the Overworld).
    • It creates a treasure chest on the other side of the portal, full of things to help you survive the Nether.

    Maybe instead of it being a nether portal, it could be a portal to an ocean monument since people typically relate crying to water.
