Gear in explosions lose durability instead of getting destroyed

I think gear with durability shouldn't get destroyed by explosions and should lose a bunch of durability instead. This would not only be less brutal, but it would also just make more sense. Please vote for this in tribute to my mace that got destroyed by a creeper explosion.
