Using Resin on wood

Imagine being able to put Resin on wood similar to how you can put Wax on copper. What makes it so the player can not strip the wood

    I do strongly feel the need for unstrippable wood, but I don't like how it's phrased. If it's resin it should be a crafting recipe to make 'stabilized wood', a non-flammable, non-strippable variant. 

     

    'using' it on wood would prevent resin from being used as a decorative block on wood.
