When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

This would completely destroy literally every redstone contraption currently in existence.

And no natural light source?! Redstone lamps need glowstone, which comes from the nether! You want players to go torchless for the entire early game!? Torches and light are essential to the Minecraft experience, I would need to travel to the nether or a trial chamber just to stop zombies from spawning in my house and mines?! How do you want me to mine if I can't see what I'm doing and constantly fighting mobs? And if you don't want infinite redstone signals then that means that each and every light source I produce will be draining from some redstone battery which will need to be constantly recharged.

I'm not really as outraged as I'm pretending to be, its just fun.

Ideas like this are never going to be implemented unless the entire Minecraft community changes, you're asking for Mojang to change the fundamental mechanics of the game by making natural light sources unobtainable. Minecraft can change, but not that much. The same with redstone, it's true that it's not as widely used as light, but that's because it can be complicated. Your idea would make it more complicated, making it harder to use. And those who do use redstone would be outraged because they need to rework all the contraptions to include these new batteries and furnaces.

The battery and furnace idea is cool, but rather than nerfing all of redstone and light, it should be an powerful upgrade in some way.

Your goal is to encourage players to design infrastructure, which is a good goal and something I might like, but there are other ways to do this. What if you add a new light block crafted with some hard to get materials (maybe something from the end, or is that to hard for most players), this light block acts as a regular light source but mobs touching the light are effected, mobs grow up faster, lay eggs/drop scutes faster, and drop slightly more loot when killed. Players have slightly increased regeneration and saturation (they get hungry slower), and mine slightly (only slightly) faster. Hostile mobs attack slightly slower. This light block can only be charged by your redstone battery which needs the redstone furnace. A block like this has many small benefits, but enough that putting them around you constructions is profitable (assuming the furnace isn't to costly).
