When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Redstone and amethyst

I think amethyst can be used in redstone. We use amethyst for telescopes right? To magnify our sight. So what if it could magnify a redstone signal into a short-range laser, length depending on redstone power given to it. It will need both a laser generator AND a receiver to work, and both would likely have to include at least a whole block of amethyst. Or it could be made cheaper. Short ranged lasers could help with making redstone contraptions over gaps or another way to send a signal, like with skulk... or make traps, cause we all know lasers hurt.
