The Pitch Black

On the tenth night of no rest, your world will fall into darkness and silence. Pitch Black will take away the moon and stars, snuff out your torches and candles, put out your campfires and lanterns, extinguish lava, and any other light. Pitch Black will turn all mobs, both passive and hostile silent, stop jukeboxes, pause world music, and any other sound. The only thing you can hear is your accelerating heartbeat and breathing. The only thing you can see is the block touching your feet and the ones surrounding that block. This darkness will last forever until you sleep, and when you wake up, all of your animals have a coin-flip chance to remain. If phantoms aren’t enough to convince you to sleep, Pitch Black certainly will.

    No. We don't want to convince people to sleep. Phantoms were just there to make it more interesting for those who don't... besides, a lot of people enjoy doing challenges where they aren't allowed to sleep.
