I propose a new armor trim rework using the new clumps of resin. These clumps of resin could be dyed and could be used with armor trims in the place of metals and crystals. This is because some of the ingredients for armor trims are incredibly expensive, for example: netherite. It's one entire netherite ingot for a black armor trim. With this proposal, instead of spending hours in the nether, you would go kill a squid. Each colored clump would correspond to a specific color trim. For example, light blue resin would be what is currently diamond. This would also encourage more exploration and challenges, for example to add the trims to your armor you would go on an adventure to the pale garden or woodland mansions and would be an even bigger flex when you showed off your armor trims to your friends. You wouldn't have to fight the creaking if you didn't want to as you could just mine the hearts and get enough resin.
Notes:
- Copper would be a tricky one to replace with a resin type as it doesn't have a corresponding dye, maybe this could be done by adding one red dye to resin for copper resin, and two red dye for red resin.
- With the rework of armor trims using resin, the armor trim selection could be expanded to 16 different colors (or 17 if they keep copper around,)
- I am not suggesting we add different colors of resin blocks, for the same reason we don't have concrete stairs. If we did we would have 96 resins blocks.
- This could just be an alternative way of crafting the trims.
