The Creaking is a mob that portrays the forest itself coming to life and feels like its guardian (It literally lives in a "Garden"). Having it assist with plants seems natural.
My suggestion is:
- When the creaking walks over soil, it becomes grass,
- When it comes near a sapling it stops, and spawns a tree
- When it walks in a farm it increases the growth of crops, like bees during the day, but increased.
Currently, players have no incentive to keep The Creaking Heart around, as its only purpose is to be destroyed. The idea of just a hostile tree mob seems too one dimensional, specially when the player can spawn it at will by mining the creaking heart with silk touch.
By giving The Creaking more in-game uses, such as helping crops and livestock, the player has a practical reason to engage with it rather than simply eliminate it. The potential rewards from using the creaking heart to spawn Creakings will make the biome a valuable destination, enhancing exploration.
These improvements make The Creaking more useful and provide players with a reason to explore the biome and spawn it themselves, and make the Creaking a more interesting mob.
