There was recently an interview where Agnes mentioned the possibility of a future combat rework, and that sparked some discussion about the old combat snapshots and the possibility of them being restarted, and so despite it being an old topic, I am here to humbly ask that you do not revive the combat rework.
There were some good concepts that would benefit the game, but overall combat was made so easy that it broke the system completely, the combination of faster attack cooldowns, automatic attacks by holding down the attack button and longer weapon reach made any weapon so powerful that combat itself was functionally dead, it completely removes any form of tension from encountering hostile mobs.
If you do continue with the combat snapshots at some point I would highly recommend completely reworking every concept you've considered, but I genuinely believe that the experimental system is so fundamentally flawed that it would be better to forget it entirely
