negative redstone power

well, so idea came to my mind what next redstone component or mechanic could be and this came to my mind, negative redstone power, so what it would do
simply would lower value of redstone power there would be without it by its own, it could spread same as positive redstone power, so 0-15, 15 being at source block and lowering same as normal redstone power does
it could be useful, since it could be used to limit and change redstone power at places, and you could change that, and if negative power 15 would be at active block (such as door or redstone lamp), it would lock it as any signal coming to it would be at most of 0, since 15(positive redstone power)-15(negative power)=0, I believe it would find some use in redstone builds beyond that too
source of those could be block you could move around as redstone block, torch you could disable from behind (by positive redstone power, negative redstone power itself should do nothing at all but lowering value of positive power), lever/button maybe, comparator/state reader
yes, you can achieve many things as this with comparator, I am not sure how heavy it would be on lag within redstone when every dust would need to count its final value of X positive and Y negative and so on, maybe it isnt even that interesting or smart idea but it came to my mind, perhaps more redstone experienced people can share opinion on such idea
