How about adding an area for players to message their friends when they're online in their message box?

this kind of already exists on PC using the Xbox app and signing in to the same Microsoft account you use for Minecraft, but I do agree. It would be a lot more easier to implement a friends messaging system into the game itself, especially in Java Edition.
