I think that sleeping should be reversed in the pale gardens. As of right now players have no way to skip to night, meaning that we have to wait a full 10 minutes! This is okey because of how rarely players want to see nighttime, but in the pale gardens all the fun happens at night. So sleeping in the pale gardens should skip to sunset instead of sunrise. This would also serve the double purpose of making it harder for players to escape the Creaking.
I can imagine this being wonderfully used and abused in the future. If a pale garden is nearby than I can run over there and skip to night!
There were some questions in the comments, I moved my answer up here.
In multiplayer I think it would work the same as normal sleeping, it only works if everyone is doing it. If someone wants to sleep in the pale garden during day (thus skipping to night) then it only works if everyone else is sleeping IN THE PALE GARDENS.
Normal sleeping only works if everyone is in a bed and it's night time. This sleeping only works if its day time, everyone is in the pale gardens, and everyone is in bed.
In case anyone misunderstood, players in the pale gardens CANNOT sleep in a bed during nighttime, they must walk out of the biome if they want to skip to morning, meaning the game never has to choose between two players sleeping in different biomes.
Basically this is no different than the normal multiplayer bed rules.
