I love the concept of the creaking, but there isn't much of a reason to find it.
As mentioned here or here, destroying the creaking heart should drop an item which can be crafted into a redstone component which emits a signal when looked at by a player. This makes a lot of thematic sense as the creaking mob only moves while looked at by the player and this power could be harnessed to make a redstone component. Additionally, it would give players a reason to explore this new biome and find the new creaking mob.
Alternatively, the texture for the new redstone component could look like a pale oak block with eyes like the creaking's eyes on it. This could be naturally incorporated into trees the pale garden biome and serve as a camouflage for the creaking mob itself, giving the impression that the whole forest is watching you. I think this would look better with emissive texturing for the eyes/heart and/or the eyes randomly blinked. The eyes of the mob and the new block could also close when looked at serving as a visual cue that the new block has been activated while also hiding both the block and the mob.
Additionally, as others have mentioned, the creaking isn't scary enough. A potential solution is having regular hostile mobs not spawn as much or at all in the new creaking biome. At the same time, the new creaking mob should deal more damage or deal damage that ignores armor. The absence of regular mobs would be unsettling and it would also make the creaking more terrifying.
