Creaking: Changes & Suggestions

The new showcased Creaking mob is scary, and amazing! But it seems somewhat lackluster as of writing this post
Here's some ideas and suggestions to improve it by the time of it's release

[ The Creaking ]

  • Different Body Shapes

The Creaking's body seems to be made or covered by Pale Oak Wood, since wood growth in itself is random it would be an excellent addition to make different body shapes for it; varying in width and length (maybe taller but slim, or shorter but wide, etc. There's potential here)

  • More Damage

In the Minecraft Live 2024 Showcase it was shown that the Creaking does half-a-heart to a player with full Iron Armor set, I, personally (and many others) think this damage output is too low for the threat the mob is supposed to be, maybe a little bit of extra damage could enhance the danger the mob supposes.

  • Purposeful Creaking Heart

The only way to kill the Creaking is by breaking it's heart located in the inside of a Pale Oak Tree, while this is a totally unique concept for a mob, the heart in itself doesn't do anything and, in fact, lacks purpose apart from decoration according to what's been shown. Since we can't kill the Creaking directly, it seems that the loot for killing it would be it's heart. Making it have functionality of any kind would improve the mob immensely and it would make the players actually look for it apart from, maybe, an achievement. (I don't have any ideas for it's functionality, if you have one, please share it in the comments!)

    I've seen people suggesting the Creaking should hunt other mobs, to keep the pale garden 'healthy.'  I like this idea: then we'd be able to use the Creaking as a cool security system, and make the pale garden more dynamic. With this addition, being able to spawn your own Creaking would be a pretty cool function.
