"taming" the new creaking mob

While watching the latest minecraft live I thought of a idea to make the creaking a little more interesting. I think it would be interesting if you could kind of "tame" it in a way by slowly stripping away at the core after a few attempts but after you start stripping the core it becomes enraged. Once its enraged it will begin attacking the player relentlessly even well looking at it until you either break or fully strip its core. Once the core is fully stripped the creaking will become passive towards the player and will even attack hostile mobs in a radius around its core. Maybe once the core is stripped the creaking will take on a new appearance as well? Like a stripped version of itself.
