Sprinting on horses like camels

It is extremely awkward to be riding a very fast horse, and have it zoom around while you're trying to maneuver it around a tight space. Can it really not slow down? Meanwhile, camels have the most intuitive movement of all mounts. Camels should not be the only mounts that can walk and sprint, after all, they are already very unique. Needless to say this should apply to donkeys and mules, as well as skeleton horses.
