A way to shuffle items

Lots of projects in the community today involve creating very complicated shuffler contraptions.  It would be very helpful for beginners to have a simple way to draw items from a single or double chest in a random manner.  I see three ways to do this:  1. a new kind of chest where items will be pulled by a hopper in a random way, 2. a new kind of hopper, or setting of a hopper, that will pull items randomly from a chest, 3.  a new block that you place between hoppers and chests if you want items to be drawn randomly.  Thanks for your attention.
