Increasing view distance without effecting rendering distance.

There is a popular new Java mod called distant horizons. It aims to improve Minecraft’s view distance without causing lag by keeping your games render distance the same. Outside of the render distance all blocks appear blurred and are not fully rendered to help with performance, this mod allows nearly infinite view distance. The first thing I thought when trying it out was, “why isn’t this just an option for vanilla”. It is a relatively small change for how drastically it changes the feel of Minecraft, and encourages exploration as you can see distant landmarks that are thousands of blocks out. I would love to see an update that adds features similar to the distant horizons mod in vanilla Minecraft.
