This suggestion was made with the idea of benefiting the farming community of Minecraft.
Suggestion:
With so many farms using the end portals and obsidian platforms, players wishing to enter the end dimension could inadvertently disrupt or destroy the farms. Plus, there are only so many farms you could fit into one spawning platform without becoming pure chaos. It would be nice if multiple platforms were generated, just like the end gateways are after defeating the dragons.
The location of these obsidian platforms upon generation would be in line with the end gateways, in a ring. There would also be the same number of platforms as there are gateways, 20 (or 15? 10? 8?).
Now, because so much more strongholds generate in the overworld than there would be spawning platforms, the first end portals that players enter would create their own platform, and will continue to be 'linked' to that particular platform forever. The rest would randomly select one of the platforms and forever link with that one as well.
With that, this mechanic would benefit players who have created farms using the portals and platforms, and allow themselves, and other players, to enter the end dimension without interfering with the farms. Another benefit that I had just realized is the prevention (or rather avoidance?) of spawn killing on pvp-enabled servers.
