first I would say idea of naturally spawned animals being "wild" and avoid player, similarly to bunnies, maybe approaching carefully to food in hand similarly how ocelots used to be, animals got by breeding after feeding them would work as animals now, being not afraid of player till hit, at least "food animals" could work this way, reason would be to there be reason to breed animals, rather than running to hunt them in wild, also wild animals could breed on their own but spawning new ones would be rare, further nerfing hunting of wild animals and having impact on erradicating whole populations, also adding immersion of little ones be around too, breeding should surely be limited by some population in area and be much slower than how could be achieved by player by active breeding
frogs should drop frog legs, it is stuff eaten at some places and tastes just about as chicken, those could be cooked to be weak food source, or used in potion of leaping, rabit leg could be used in potion of luck which could affect drop chances or fishing, or just left as alternative to frog legs
pigs should have more offsprings at once, I would say 2-5 randomly, since they drop only meat and so cows are superior animal to have, given that wheat is also easier to get than carrot/potato/beetroot, making pigs superior food-only animal while other animals drop aside of meat other things too, or making pig meat but better than cow meat, bunnies could maybe have multiple offsprings at once too
