Copper Fan

An idea for a new block. A copper contraption that generates a wind stream maybe 10 blocks in the direction its facing, and is blocked by solid blocks but not by copper grates. semisolid blocks like hoppers and slabs would weaken the blowback. Crafting would be a wind charge/rod in the center, copper ingots around it, and in the corners redstone. Or maybe instead of ingots copper blocks, I don't know. The wind effect would be similar to bubble columns, but without the need of air. Pushback would decrease with oxidization and would need a redstone input continuously to spin, decreasing power with decreasing signal strength.
