Attaching Rockets to Minecarts

A lot of people complain about having slow minecarts. They were originally made slow because people complained about their roller coasters derailing, although now we have the minecart speed attribute. But what if you want your minecarts to be fast in a world without commands? My suggestion: just attach rockets to them! I think you should be able to place up to three or four on a minecart. When it powers you forward, it should trail out firework particles in the color of the rocket(s) you're using. And when the rocket runs out (which it eventually would) it will make a firework explosion, again, in the color of the rocket.
