Trial Spawners should output a comparator signal based on its block state. For example, completed would output 0, able to spawn mobs would output 1, it would output 2 when a player gets close enough and the spawner is active, and it would output 3 when the spawner is ominous.
While observers can detect these changes, being able to know which state a spawner is in could be useful for things like a door that requires trial omen to enter.
Vaults could use a similar system, since currently they cannot accurately detect whether a block update is a key being used, or just a player approaching it
