Adding right click functionality to lined redstone

In Snapshot 24W33A, a redstone change occurred in where straight redstone lines could not power nearby blocks that weren't connected logically. Instead of reverting this change all together, perhaps we could right click it just like singled redstone, turning it into the crossed variant? This addition could allow players to choose if they want to quasi power nearby blocks or not.
