Revert touch controls back or bring back the Lefty option

i’ve always played minecraft with the lefty option because it was easier for me even though i’m right handed. with the new controls i now have to customize where i want them and it’s not only screwed up it often resets my controls back to the way they were before. also, i often place blocks when i try to switch blocks in my hotbar and it’s so annoying. please just bring the old controls back or make the lefty option available again 😭
