Minecraft Smoke shouldn't pass through beehives

Recently with the new copper building blocks I've made a large bee farm however I've noticed an issue being that the campfire smoke below them lags my game. Thankfully this hasn't too big of a problem for me, however  I'd imagine on mobile that this would be a much larger problem. At the very least make *less* smoke from campfires pass through the beehives. It's a pain having to put blocks 2 blocks above the beehives so you can get the honeycomb that decides to glitch out the top.
