You should be able to use your own texture pack on someone else's Minecraft realm. You can use it when you join someone else's world so I don't see why it can't be the same for realms. Arguably it would even make the game more money as personally I'd be inclined to buy more texture packs if I knew I could use it on my friend group's realm.
