So I came up with an idea for a scalable difficulty system I'm calling Deep Difficulty. This is an unlockable difficulty that you unlock after defeating the ender dragon in hardcore mode. In this mode mobs get fun multipliers Exp. Zombies gain health, Passive mobs gain speed so you have to be creative with getting your food, and recipes and more expensive (same pattern just requires two* in the spot instead of one). The thing that makes this scalable is that these values us a multiplier this multiplier is based on your level of Deep Difficulty, yes that means that when you defeat the dragon again in this difficulty you unlock another level (chosen in world creation and/or you can update your current world). This means that eventually people will find a difficulty that's too hard. Maybe you could even add unique buffs to mobs like Enderman are hostile instead of neutral at Deep 5.
