Auto sprint in Minecraft classic touch controllers

I've been thinking a lot, why do the other controls have the auto sprint option and the classic ones don't? It would be very helpful to put some option or button on these to enable running without having to press the button 2 times to start running. (It's also too annoying to run into blocks and stop running)
