With the current specs, if I place a large number of neutral and friendly mobs in my base, it will be a tension-free survival game with no hostile mobs at all.
Observed Results:
- I noticed this spec because when I placed a large number of cats to lead spawning creeps, no hostile mobs appeared at all.
Expected Results:
- No matter how many neutral or friendly mobs are in a base, hostile mobs will be allowed to spawn.
Ideas to solve:
- For friendly mobs that can be made to sit, can't we just eliminate the search process, etc. and make the process the same as the block, just providing information about the presence of the mob at that location?
- Currently the hostile mobs that appear move around randomly, would it be possible to stop this process to reduce the load?
If despawning and spawning are random, and the location where they appear is also random, then I think the probability of a player encountering a hostile mob is the same whether it is moving randomly or standing still!
I think it would ease the process if we tried to make them behave in a way that makes them come towards me when they are visible to the player.
