Squirrels, Helpful Tree Keepers! 🐿

Do you cut down trees in Minecraft?

Do you have more saplings than you know what to do with?

Are you tired of having to manually replant the forests you cut down?

🐿 Introducing Squirrels! 🐿

A small mob found in all forests biomes. These fuzzy critters would be a forest's best friend!

Here's how they'd work:

1) If a sapling is on the ground near the Squirrel, they will pick it up and carry it around in their mouth (similarly to how foxes carry items).

2) After a short while the squirrel will plant the sapling on block where it can grow.

3) Rinse & Repeat

Notes:

- Squirrels are similar in size, speed, and hearts to rabbits

- Squirrels are arboreal and can climb trees and leaf blocks

- Squirrels can be bred with seeds

- Squirrels can be also bribed with seeds to drop any sapling they're carrying

- Squirrels are preyed upon and afraid of Foxes & Wolves.

- Squirrels will not disturb saplings that are already planted, they will only pick up saplings that have not been planted.

- Squirrels do not drop anything when killed.

Unknowns:

- Should Squirrels be able to place saplings in non-forest biomes? 

- Should saplings planted by squirrels have special properties. For example: saplings planted by squirrels grow faster or become larger trees.

- Should Squirrels have biome based skins? If so what kinds and for which biomes?

- Should Squirrels have a non-violently obtained drop? For example an item or potion effect that could impart a squirrel's climbing prowess.
