Bedrock and Java players don't often get along, unless it is the mob vote we are talking about. To be honest, it would be easier for players and the development team at Microsoft/Mojang Studios to only have one version of the game to worry about. Java and Bedrock have good and bad things about each of them. I think that it's not worth arguing over which version is better when they are both Minecraft. Having only one version would remove most of the hate for Java/Bedrock, which is better/worse. Bugs would be found faster on one version of the game. I know it's not likely for developers to create another game from scratch that would play on both console and PC platforms. There is one thing that must be addressed if continuing forward there are still going to be two separate versions for different platforms. Java needs more performance optimization as some people don't want to have to install Optifine or Sodium to have decent performance on a game released over 15 years ago. The main reason I am writing this feedback is because there needs to be more similarity between Bedrock and Java Edition so it doesn't feel like players are playing two separate games when both games built off of the same architecture and by the same Franchise. To be fair though, it is likely not easy to code two separate versions, and release a new update on the same day for both versions.
