Friend system for Java

A great addition to the game would be a friend system for Java, that way we can easily see who's online and maybe even a message system so we can talk outside of servers, realms or LAN games. Additionally, there are people who I used to play with that I am fairly certain still play today that I just have no means of contacting. A friend system would surely be able to reunite many long lost, well, friends! The launcher has been updated since I've returned twice, but we still have no integral friend system for Java. Very sad!
